Zhivko Vasilev Quintet

On March 17, 2022, Zhivko Vassilev, together with his quintet, will present his captivating original music, for the first time on the stage of Sofia Live Club. The music blends ancient traditions from the Balkans with classical music and jazz improvisations.

Zhivko Vasilev Quintet is a project created in 2020. The group consists of some of the most prominent musicians in Bulgaria and Europe. At the invitation of Zhivko Vasilev, they gathered and recorded the original music of Zhivko Vassilev. Later, in 2021, Zhivko Vasilev's first solo album "Places" was officially released.

The album immediately went into the TOP 10 list for the second quarter of 2021, according to the choice of the panelist of “Balkan Chart”. Many positive reviews about the album were published in some of the most renowned jazz magazines, such as “All About Jazz”, “Jazz in Europe”, “Mixedworldmusic”.
