"Castles in the Sky" (30 min.) is a dance miniature that, through the means of contemporary dance, explores the contradictions between the personal pursuit of an ideal and the social realities that limit it.
The expression "Castles in the Sky" is used to describe dreams or ideas that are unrealistic, impossible to achieve, or extremely difficult to achieve. However, this performance embarks on a deeper philosophical reflection on the nature of these dreams and why they continue to move the human spirit even when they seem unattainable.
The performance develops around the basic idea that dreams, no matter how unrealistic or unattainable, play a key role in human evolution - both personal and collective. At the heart of this performance is a young man caught in the constant conflict between his inner world of longings and aspirations and the external environment, which is characterized by social injustice, political instability, and cultural stagnation. What happens to these "castles" when they are faced with such an insurmountable reality? Can they survive and find their transformation, or are they doomed to remain unfulfilled?

"Castles in the Sky" is a performance about the power of dreams - not only as a form of escape, but also as a tool for change and personal growth. It is an invitation to reflect on how the impossible can be a catalyst for real transformation and how even when reality is unable to accept the ideal, the very pursuit of it brings hope for a future in which these dreams can be realized in new, unexpected forms." - shares choreographer Stefania Georgieva
