Vasil Spasov trio ➱ club IN JAZZ | 4.11.23

Vasil Spasov Trio debuted on the Plovdiv chamber stage in the 22nd year with the entirely original program of its leader, the composer and pianist Vasil Spasov. The group performed to sold-out audiences in Berlin and Paris in the fall of the same year, and between the two concerts presented its program to a Sofia audience.

In a material on the occasion of the trio's performance, journalist from jazz FM Svetoslav Nikolov writes:

"The virtuosity in the musicianship, combined with the naturalness and ease of presentation, created pure joy for musicians and the audience.

In Vasil Spasov's compositions there was that smile of a creator who knows well the mysterious world of music, who has discovered inexhaustible treasures that he wants to give to us.

Peace for Peace - the work that Vasil Spasov created as a musical balm for such a wounded world, left us breathless and without a doubt that peace will reign, as long as peace first settles in the souls.

There were no heights unattainable for the three musicians of the highest order who lifted us to the heavens with the absolute ease of their imagination and artistry. The light of music bathed our earthly world, so that we could rediscover it so beautifully in the midst of ancient Plovdiv in the sheltered courtyard, in which the songs of the birds were also part of the music. This magic, which we often define as unreal, was palpable.

At their concert in Paris, Vasil Spasov Trio also presented their latest composition "Altum in Paris", which was met with great enthusiasm by the audience.
