The great rock guitarist Adrian Vandenberg with a special show in Sofia

On September 27, 2024, the Dutch guitar ace and his band arrive in Bulgaria for a concert at the Yunak Park Center, where they will also perform all of Whitesnake's greatest hits.

VANDENBERG is undoubtedly a name with a worthy and glorious page in the history of hard rock. Led by guitar virtuoso Adrian Vandenberg, the Dutch quartet released three quality albums in the 80s, achieved solid commercial success and toured the world with bands such as Ozzy, Kiss, Rush, Scorpions.

Then, of course, came the big explosion - Adrian became a key member of Whitesnake and was next to Coverdale for 13 years, right at the height of their success. He is the main musical partner of the legendary vocalist, composing, recording historic solos (like in "Here I Go Again"!) and making history with his infamous guitar dialogues with Steve Vai.

After the Whitesnake era, Adrian painted a lot (he's also a talented and in-demand artist), but also kept working on various interesting projects such as the supergroup Manic Eden and his own formation Vandenberg's Moonkings.

In recent years he has been fully focused on his eponymous band, Vandenberg, enlisting the talented Swede Mats Leven (of Yngwie Malmsteen's band, Candlemass and Trans-Siberian Orchestra) as permanent vocalist. The rhythm section is also very solid - bassist Randy van der Elsen and drummer Cohen Herfst (known from Epica, Doro). In this lineup, the checkered band releases albums and hits the stages of the biggest rock festivals in the world, such as MONSTERS OF ROCK CRUISE in 2022 and 2023.

Adrian describes the band's new material as: "We push and inspire each other to raise the bar and great, very exciting things happen! Inspired by the best rock bands from the 70s and 80s that we grew up with , but we do it in a contemporary and dynamic way. Hard, energetic rock pieces, epic swing and - of course - some rock ballad that shakes with its emotion."

Here is the place to note that, to the delight of the thousands of David Coverdale fans in Bulgaria, the band includes some of Whitesnake's biggest hits (in which Adrian is involved as a co-author anyway) in their setlist. Expect the favorites "Still of the night", "Is this love", "Fool for your loving", "Here I go again", "Sailing ships" to be played in the Sofia evening.

"Vandenberg is not at all a nostalgic band trying to recreate what happened so many years ago," concludes Vandenberg, who has already been to Bulgaria once as part of Whitesnake. "This is a brand new, dynamic band with a name that has legacy, and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. So buckle up, because Vandenberg is coming to you!"

An additional attraction will be the great warm-up band - the Italian rock sensation DRAMALOVE, who are said to be Italy's next global rock export after Maneskin. They are the winners of San Remo Rock 2023, which is the most prestigious Italian festival.

On stage before the Italians, the first warm-up band for the evening will appear - our guys from CALIBERTY. They are united by the idea of presenting the primary and classic hard - heavy rock music. The style is familiar to a wide audience, but not so exploited nowadays.

An exciting rock party awaits us at the beginning of autumn, which you should not miss!
