independent bottler Robin Tucek will be part of our master class program. We will try 5 whiskies from different countries x 20ml of each of:

If you want to understand what an independent bottler is in the whisky world, how the casks for it are selected, where they are aged, where they are bottled and what makes these whiskies different from the rest, meet the whisky dinosaur Robin Tucek. Founder of Master of Malt, Malt Whisky Association and the Blackadder Whisky brand.

 

Robin Tucek is the founder of Blackadder International – a family-owned, independent spirits bottling company – which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Robin developed a vision for bottling that is as close to the natural spirit in the cask as possible. Blackadder’s flagship brand – Raw Cask – even contains some of the lees from the cask (proof of the minimal filtration of the spirit).

 

He now runs the business with his daughter Hannah and son Michael. Their philosophy for Blackadder is very simple – they never put anything in a bottle unless they are 100% sure it is ready to drink. They believe that the high standards they set for their bottles, and ultimately their customers, are why Blackadder is enjoyed in around 30 countries. Not bad for a small, family-run business!

 

In addition to the master class, you will be able to meet Robin at the Caldo Whiskey Bar stand, and in front of him there will be over 20 limited bottles of Blackadder to try.
