An (Iron) Awl in a Bag Doesn't Stay - U.D.O.'s World Tour also passes through Bulgaria!

U.D.O. are returning to Bulgaria for a concert on March 31, 2024 in the Hristo Botev Hall, Sofia!

 

The adage about the awl and the bag fully applies to the short, stocky and tough metal from Wuppertal, Germany, not for nothing called the Little General. At 71, Udo Dirkschneider has no intention of giving up, and his Touchdown World Tour covers both this year and next. To his joy, his literally "iron" voice does not change over the years, and to ours, Bulgaria is always a stop on duty in his tours, and his mutual love with the Bulgarian fans is totally resistant to rust.

 

The show on March 31, 2024 will be electrified with even more energy than his last few visits (most recently last year). First, because the tour promotes a brand new album, the self-titled Touchdown, which was released at the end of August 2023 and has so far garnered quite positive reviews from the media and the public. And secondly, the other (now somewhat old) news is that after joining Udo in the spring of 2023, Accept bassist Peter Baltes has remained a permanent member of the band. And that gives fans of the iron German band one more reason to come see and hear the current line-up with a volley of new tracks.

 

The good form of the band and the high level of the album (18th in a row!) is also evident from the solid tour of North America (not so typical for Udo), which will include 22 shows in the USA and Canada from November 3 until the end of the year. The nod to American football is evident in both the cover art and the poster, as well as the football gear (and black eye-bands) worn by the German metalheads.

 

And specifically about the new songs, the media write: "Stealing, shattering pleasure and the best thing he's released in a long, long time. A real touchdown! Udo sounds refreshed and full of energy, the riffs are infectious and the overall powerful sound, close to classic Accept, will fill the soul of fans!”

 

So, while March next year may seem relatively far away, our Uncle Udo has prepared enough iron-clad reasons for us to go, hear him and cheer him on once more.

- BGN 60 promo for the first 100 tickets

 

- BGN 70 after exhaustion of promo tickets and until 31.12.2023 incl.

 

- BGN 80 from 01/01/2024 to 03/30/2024 incl.

 

- BGN 90 on the day of the concert, if there are any left, tickets will also be sold at the Hristo Botev hall box office
