Get ready for a night of pure vinyl magic and heavyweight beats!

On Saturday, 29 November, Malkata Tekila transforms into a DJ paradise featuring turntable legends: JFB EPK, Jim Sharp, and Mista Trick – bringing scratch mastery, funky cuts, and electrifying mashups straight to the decks.

Jim Sharp
Toronto native, London based Jim Sharp is one of the premier remixers within the DJ game. Over the past decade, he has earned a reputation amongst deejays around the world as a sure shot go-to for his Funk, Soul and Hip Hop edits and remixes in their vinyl and digital crates, receiving support from the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Nu-Mark and Kenny Dope to name a few. Jim’s sizeable discography of 7 inch remix releases have regularly been at the top of the Juno, HHV (Germany) and Disk Union (Japan) best seller vinyl charts.  As a DJ, Jim’s rocked stages alongside the likes of Skratch Bastid, Talib Kweli, DJ Premier  and Rich Medina. He’s able to find the sweet spot between turntablist skills, selection and rocking a crowd. He is equally dexterous playing either vinyl 45s or digital formats with sets full of his own remixes, edits and production.

 

JFB EPK
JFB is a 3-time World DMC Champion and a uniquely talented DJ. Definitely an artist to look  out for. Known to some for his music production work over the years - weather it was officially remixing Fat Boy Slim, getting multiple num1’s on Beatport/Juno & Soundcloud charts, his Freshly Squeezed releases, gaining millions of plays on Spotify or his general relentless releasing of music, with over 100’s of tracks either, solo made or collaborations.

 

Mista Trick
Swing n bass DJ and Producer Mista Trick is in a league of his own. Mixing vintage, vaudeville vibes with distinctly down and dirty drum n bass, Mista Trick sounds like the love-child of a wartime knees-up and a 90s rave. He's performed all around Europe and at many festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Nozstock, Swingamajig and Shambala, released tracks on Ragtime Records, Pashmount Music and Sony and produced remixes for the likes of Jamie Berry, Sam & The Womp and Molotov Jukebox.

Supported by Sofia’s finest local talents: Rawland, Emil Prize, Samm The Man, and Alphabet – keeping the vibe alive from start to finish.

Expect turntablism, bass, funk, and a dancefloor that won’t quit.
