For the event

For us, this event is a dream come true. The work of Dead Moon has been deeply rooted in our musical identity since the very beginning, and Dead Moon Night is the anthem of TRICHORDS RECORDS! Dead Moon is dead, long live the Queen!

Toody Cole is not only the Queen of darkness, of punk, of garage, an iconic bassist, vocalist and co-founder of the legendary Portland garage-punk band, but also the godmother of raw DIY rock and roll. Uncompromisingly independent, with an incredible musical evolution (she started playing bass only at the age of 30), declared one of the 20 best punk rock bassists of all time, unyieldingly persistent and dominating the punk landscape conquered only by men. Toody is like a black locomotive in flames, a damn moth bouncing all over the stage, electricity that charges the entire hall, religion, love, drugs, she is simply everything. At the age of 18, he met Fred Cole, with whom he remained for almost 50 years until his death in 2017, and they became known for their authentic “DIY” spirit, their deep lifelong romance and relentless world travel. They recorded their albums in a guest room with second-hand equipment, mastered their records, pressed their own vinyl, ran their own label and music store and organized their own tours, building their careers entirely on their own rules.

Toodyc Cole will take the stage at his hometown club Mixtape 5 in Sofia on December 6, 2026 with his new band, which includes Kelly Halliburton – drums (Pierced Arrows) and Christopher March (Jenny Don't And The Spurs) to continue performing the rich musical legacy of Dead Moon live, after the deaths of Fred and Andrew.

The evening will be opened by Jenny Don't And The Spurs - an American country western band formed in the winter of 2012 in Portland. Their style is a unique amalgam, most often described as honky-tonk, cowpunk and garage rock. They combine the raw energy of their punk past with the classic appeal of traditional western. The band was founded by singer and guitarist Jenny Connor (known as Jenny Dont) and her husband - bassist Kelly Halliburton. Both have a rich history in the underground punk and garage scene of Portland. The current line-up includes: Jenny Dont - vocals and rhythm guitar, Kelly Halliburton - bass guitar, Christopher March - lead guitar (with distinctive surf rock and psychedelic western tones) and Buddy Weeks - drums. Unfortunately, the band's longtime drummer, punk legend Sam Henry (who played in Wipers), passed away in 2022.
