THE NICE DRIVEWAYS

The Nice Driveways is a four-piece band, with musicians from the USA, UK, and Canada. The band plays mainly 70’s and 80’s cover songs, from New Wave pop to rock ‘n’ roll, including some David Bowie, Elton John, and Billy Joel tunes. The group is led by vocalist and keyboardist Scott MacDonald who is a former member of Spoons —a popular Canadian New Wave band. The Nice Driveways are rounded out by Stowe Blankenship (guitar/backing vocals), Mark Bryon-Edmond (bass), and Dominic Carrillo (drums).

The band name—The Nice Driveways—is a play on the Bulgarian word Nazdravey, or “cheers.” We have a fan base that is largely composed of English-speaking foreigners who live and work in Bulgaria. The band has played to packed bars and parties in Sofia since December 2016. The Nice Driveways are interested in playing weekend gigs in the Sofia and Plovdiv area that have quality sound systems, good vibes, and space for 50-100 fans.
