Skratch Bastid

Paul Murphy, better known by his stage name Skratch Bastid, is a Canadian DJ and record producer with years of experience behind the decks. He is a three-time Scribble Jam DJ Battle winner, and he is the first-ever Canadian DJ to be nominated for the Juno Award for Producer of the Year. He is known for his electrifying stage presence, technical skills, and diverse selection that spans the entire musical spectrum – from hip-hop to house, disco to dancehall, reggae to funk.

 

Scratch Bastid owns a school for DJs named Skratch School, and his own chili sauce brand. At his famous Bastid’s BBQ parties his guests were hip-hop icons such as DJ Premier, Maseo, Brother Ali, A-Trak, Pete Rock and Lord Finesse.
