Spring Festival “Sglednitsi” 2026 is a cultural and educational event dedicated to the heritage of ancestors and its practical application in modern life. The 2026 edition places increased emphasis on traditional knowledge and skills related to nature, construction and herbalism, viewed as a living practice, and not as a folklore archive.

The name of the festival comes from the old name of the village of Ognyanovo – “Sglednitsi”, as well as from the custom “sglednitsi”, which symbolizes meeting and getting to know each other. In this spirit, the festival creates a space for meeting between people with similar values ​​and between generations, in which traditional practices are presented in the context of modern needs and lifestyles.

The program includes practical lectures and workshops focused on environmentally friendly and traditional construction, working with natural materials, herbs and medicinal plants, the relationship between man and the natural environment, as well as sustainable practices for living outside the city. In parallel, activities in the field of music, singing, folk dances and arts will be presented, which contribute to the overall experience and community character of the festival.

The musical program will be focused on traditional Bulgarian music and its contemporary interpretations - ethno, folklore, ethno jazz and fusion. Particular attention will be paid to formats that actively involve the audience through singing, dancing and joint music making, in the spirit of traditional Bulgarian life.

History of the festival: The first edition in 2024 laid the foundations, and in 2025 we built on it with even more music and practical workshops. In the previous edition, formations such as the Ethno Formation "Nebo" and VA Chuchuligi, led by Elena Bozhkova from the Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices, who outlined the artistic direction of the festival, participated. "Sglednici" 2026 is an invitation for a conscious encounter with traditional knowledge - about construction, herbs and nature - and their integration into the rhythm of modern life.
