When we started the idea of Saké, we had a shortlist of many locations that we want to transform, but one stuck out. We’re proud to announce our next event at the Tsarevets Fortress on September 7th.
The Tsarevets Fortress, located in Veliko Tarnovo, was the medieval stronghold of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom and served as its primary political and religious center. It housed the royal palace, the Patriarchate, and was heavily fortified, playing a key role during the kingdoms’ resistance against the Byzantine and later Ottoman invasions. ⚔️
First settled in Thracian times and fortified during the Byzantine era, the fortress invites you to explore layers of history beneath your feet.
