Movie screening: "Dobrina" about TDK

The surprises surrounding the first gigs of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard in Plovdiv just keep coming! We invite you to FOUR special screenings of some amazing movies all about alternative music at the LUCKY CINEMA Cinema House!!!

 

After the screenings, we head directly to the Ancient Theater for three unique evenings, in the company of King Gizzard.

 

On June 07th We will open our “pre-party” day with a screening of “Dobrina” (2020), dir. Tony Schnitter. 

 

The film documents the recording process of the album “Dobrina” by the Plovdiv band TDK. Eleven people staying at a community center over two weeks in the middle of nowhere, or as the Bulgarian media would write if they were interested in such things - “a group of drug addicts playing metal music in a village”. The more important scenes include a salad-making demonstration, a Canadian producer going to a Bulgarian folklore festival, the spontaneous adoption of a cat and a midnight attack on a medieval church.
