Presentation - "Vertices, wedges and walls"

We are starting the season of presentations and meetings with various Bulgarian adventurers.

 

On January 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the hall of the Polish Institute we will present you the extremely interesting presentation of Georgi Georgiev – Cherniya – Presentation: "Peaks, Wedges and Big Walls" - European Mountaineering until the beginning of World War II.

 

Centuries pass from the first timid steps of people towards the mountains to the transformation of climbing peaks into a goal. We will follow in the footsteps of naturalists, discoverers, adventurers, conquerors of peaks, seekers of difficulties, innovators and we will reach the great alpinists and climbers of the 1930s. The history of European mountaineering until the beginning of World War II is a story of peaks, styles, walls, ethics and most of all personalities and dreams.
