Hello dear friends!
We are happy to invite you to this year's winter presentations in Sofia, which we at Wind and Water are organizing together with our partners from Aegeas Yachting (Kavala).
One of you last year very insightfully suggested that we should organise two presentations (instead of one) to target audiences of different levels of sailing competence. Said and done!
On February 8 (Thursday) Stathis Sofitsis will present a topic for beginners: "Safety Features of a Sailing Boat and Tips for Emergencies", and Dimitris Sofitsis and Dobrin Enchev will introduce us to the sailing courses for your first sailing steps.
On February 9 (Friday) we invite the more advanced among you to hear Stathis and his know-how on the topic "The challenge of operating a boat in an area with currents and tides". The topic is not new. We introduced it in 2017. This time, Stathis promises to cover it more thoroughly and include new details, tips and trick in it.
Especially for the advanced sailors among you, Dimitris Sofitsis from the Training Center in Kavala and Dobrin Enchev from the Sports Club "Wind and Water" will present us with relevant courses, practices and development opportunities. They will share guidance on how to build your skills and improve in handling a sailing yacht in challenging conditions and situations.
After the presentations, we`ll have the opportunity to plan the next steps together over a glass of wine. An excellent occasion to exchange thoughts and ideas with friends and like-minded people captivated by sailing.
