Presentation: Sailing For Beginners

You love the sea, and you dream of sailing a yacht and learning to handle it by yourself. However, you are wondering how and where to start from.

We at Wind and Water will help you get on your way and learn to sail! Together with our partners from Aegeas Yachting (Kavala, Greece), we present a portfolio of sailing courses and events aimed at beginners and more advanced skippers, with which you will acquire and develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence.

On February 8 (Thursday), we invite you to meet in person at the annual winter presentations in Sofia. All sailing enthusiasts who need more information, advice, and encouragement are welcome! We'll advise you on how to start your sailing adventure.

The next day, February 9 (Friday), we`re organizing a sailing presentation for advanced skippers as well.

You`ll have the opportunity to meet Stathis and Dimitris Sofitsis from the RYA Training Centre in Kavala, as well as Dobrin Enchev from the "Wind and Water" Sports Club.

Stathis Sofitsis, principal and founder of the Training Centre in Kavala, will give a lecture on "Safety Features of a Sailing Boat and Tips for Emergencies". Stathis will introduce all the elements and safety features of the yacht, explaining why it`s safer than a motor boat, and giving basic advice in emergencies - basic knowledge for anyone interested in sailing.

Dobrin Enchev and Dimitris Sofitsis will present sailing courses for beginners.

After the presentations, we`ll be able to meet and talk over a glass of wine. You`ll have the opportunity to ask us questions and ask for advice, and together we can plan the most suitable steps for you.
