We don't like to organize concerts in the summer! Even more so at the end of July, when everyone, even us, the only thing we think about is the sea! But, bands like this are hard to find in our latitudes and it's even harder to get them to stop by our place. That's why, on July 31, 2026, we will stay in Sofia, at our favorite place, *Mixtape 5* club, because what we will see and listen to will be provocative, dark, ironic, erotic, but above all musically rich. Because Patriarchy, the Los Angeles duo focused on dark wave and industrial pop music, is exactly that. Actually Huizenga and AJ English are theatrical on stage, possessing a pulsating chemistry together that makes them both ironic and extremely elegant, and critics often compare them to artists like Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy and Rammstein. Their lyrics delve into themes of lust, power, religion and death, and while their themes can be dark and intentionally shocking, they are always delivered with a witty, sensual charisma. Their latest album, Manual for Dying (2025), received serious critical acclaim for striking the perfect balance between pop accessibility and raw experimentation.
In conclusion, if you want to see the snuff metal band we all deserve live, driven by the spirit of David Bowie and the god of wine, merriment, ritual madness, religious ecstasy and theatre, Dionysus, we are waiting for you on 31/07/2026 at Mixtape 5.
