Workshop fee: €30 (includes materials and refreshments); Thursday (October 8), 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM; 73 Oborishte St., 3rd floor.
🎨 "A Pair of Shoes" dates back to the fiery period in Arles, during which Van Gogh reinvented himself and his distinctive artistic style. You will learn the story behind why and how the artist painted a series of shoe studies between 1886 and 1888—spanning his time in his Montmartre studio to his life in the famous Yellow House in Southern France—during the workshop's introductory talk.
🖌️ Artist Stanislava Getova-Smokini will guide us in recreating this iconic painting, revealing the Post-Impressionist's approach to color, composition, and texture in still-life art.
🍷 The workshop provides all materials and light refreshments. All that’s left is for you to enjoy the creative process, learn something new about Van Gogh’s work, and take your own painting home.
We look forward to seeing you at 73 Oborishte St., 3rd floor (press buzzer 3#), "Aleko Konstantinov 1897" Community Center, Sofia (Tel: 089 333 9169).
