Dimi hails from Sofia but moved to Canada as a child, where he completed his education and experienced the stand-up comedy format firsthand. He has since returned to Bulgaria, finding himself caught between a Western mindset and his Eastern European roots. His stage performances reflect this, blending Bulgarian pessimism with American sarcasm.

Dimi believes that stand-up jokes work best when rooted in an interesting, previously unnoticed truth. He uses the stand-up format as a personal outlet, serving as the host for open mic nights in Sofia. His performance history includes appearances in public gardens and parks, at the Kapana Fest and Creative Mornings, two TEDx talks, various bars and clubs across Sofia, Berlin, Svoge, Varna, and New York, the Simeonovo chairlift, and even the NBC series "The Geography of Bliss." A friend’s father once remarked, "The lad’s got intelligent humor."
