Dimi is from the city of Sofia, and as a child he left for Canada, where he completed his education and got acquainted with the stand-up format first-hand. He returned to Bulgaria, torn between Western thinking and his Eastern European identity. His comedic performances on stage reflect this, intertwining Bulgarian pessimism with American sarcasm.

 

Dimi believes that stand-up jokes are best when they are based on an interesting, hitherto unnoticed truth. He likes to use the stand-up format as a personal outlet as a host of open mic nights in Sofia. He has performed in gardens, parks, KAPANA fest, Creative mornings, 2 TEDx talks, selected bars and clubs in Sofia, Berlin, Svoge, Varna, New York, Simeonovskiya lift and in the American NBC series "Geography of bliss". A friend's father even said that "he has intelligent humor, the boy".
