About the method
Therapeutic writing is a well-known technique for self-knowledge and mental well-being. Through writing, a person enters into a dialogue with their own feelings, thoughts and experiences, arranging and making sense of them. To this we add “manga spirit” – spontaneous, careless drawings and visual collages (photos, symbols, clippings), which help to express unconscious images, emotions and archetypal themes.
It is believed that artists are closest to archetypes – they touch universal images and experiences that have a strong emotional charge. But they are often left with the feeling that these are “foreign stories”, something outside of them. They do not complete the dialogue with the image. In our studio we will build on the work of artists. We will address images and texts as our own inner content, we will look for their personal meaning and place in our lives.
What will you get?
You will be introduced to the concept of therapeutic writing and spontaneous visual expression through manga drawings, clippings, stickers and photos.
You will work with personal stories, dreams, memories and symbols.
You will work with personal conflicts, memories, bodily symptoms.
You will receive support in interpreting the materials (unconscious thoughts, feelings, traumatic and pleasant experiences, unconscious qualities, ideas).
You will leave with a complete visual-written narrative – a personal story that reflects unique aspects of your inner world.

For Who is it for?
You don't have to be able to write well or draw beautifully! We will not evaluate your literary and artistic skills. This workshop is for anyone who wants to explore themselves through words and images, regardless of experience in writing or drawing.
What to bring?
Photos, pictures, magazine clippings, stickers, symbols and images that are important to you. We will also take care to stimulate your imagination with additional materials.
Lecturers:
Diana Petrova – Diana Petrova - creator of the "Therapeutic Writing" discipline at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", author of the "Individual Writing Therapy" format. She teaches at "Rabbit Hole" and is the author of books with therapeutic tales with over 60 reprints.
Verzhiniya Petkova – psychologist and Jungian psychotherapist under supervision, with 15 years of experience in the study of various psychological directions and schools. Author of the series of workshops "Culinary Art Therapy" with a Jungian perspective; presenter of seminars and the workshop for working with fairy tales, films, myths and legends through the prism of the Jungian perspective.
