Jake from The Herbaliser DJ set@Malkata Tekila Sofia

On October 24th, we’re excited to welcome one half of one of the hottest British funk and hip-hop acts signed to Ninja Tune! Jake Wherry from The Herbaliser will be bringing his signature sound to Malkata Tekila Sofia for an unforgettable funky DJ set.

 

The Herbaliser story began in the 90s, when Jake Wherry and Ollie Teeba, both hailing from West London, bonded over their love of hip-hop, groove, funk, and jazz. Inspired by legends like James Brown, DJ Premier, Lalo Schifrin, Pete Rock, and David Axelrod, they formed The Herbaliser. Nearly 20 years and 12 albums later, the band has become one of the most recognizable names in the British jazz and hip-hop scene.

 

Jake, a passionate vinyl collector, will be sharing a glimpse of his vast musical expertise with us on October 24th. Don’t miss the chance to experience it firsthand!
