IGORRR, SECRET CHIEFS 3, AND FANGE ARE COMING TO SOFIA ON MARCH 24, 2027
One of the most unpredictable acts in modern experimental music returns to Bulgaria.
On March 24, 2027, Sofia will host an extraordinary convergence of experimental extremism, avant-garde metal, electronica, and musical alchemy.
IGORRR returns to Bulgaria for a second time—this time at the capital's Pirotska 5 club. They are joined by the legendary SECRET CHIEFS 3 as special guests and the French extreme act FANGE as the opening band.
Created by French musician and producer Gautier Serre, Igorrr has long existed in a universe of its own, where genre boundaries simply do not apply. Breakcore, Baroque music, death and black metal, electronica, classical music, and absurd sonic eccentricity collide in compositions that defy comparison.
And while Igorrr alone is reason enough to attend, the presence of Secret Chiefs 3 turns the evening into something even more extraordinary—especially for fans who worship Mr. Bungle.
Secret Chiefs 3 is led by Trey Spruance—guitarist, composer, and one of the key figures behind Mr. Bungle. For over three decades, he has been building a unique musical universe with Secret Chiefs 3—a realm where surf rock, Persian and Oriental motifs, avant-garde metal, electronica, improvisation, and film scores coexist within a completely unpredictable reality. The band is also known for its constantly shifting lineups and various musical "sub-groups," through which Spruance continues to develop his expansive concept.
An impressive array of musicians has passed through the ranks of Secret Chiefs 3, including Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, Danny Heifetz, Ches Smith, Eyvind Kang, William Winant, Shahzad Ismaily, Toby Driver, Timba Harris, and Clinton "Bär" McKinnon.
The evening will open with FANGE—a French quartet that has spent years pushing the boundaries of sludge, death metal, noise, and industrial music. Following their early albums *Purge* and *Punir*, the band gradually shifted toward the use of drum machines and more pronounced noise/industrial influences; their latest releases—*Privation* (2023), *Perdition* (2024), and *Purulences*—take this direction even further, resulting in an even darker and sonically heavier sound.
Fange has already performed at festivals such as Arctangent, Motocultor, and Mystic Festival.
