We invite you to "IDENTITY" 👉 a choreographic evening, uniting two independent contemporary dance works - "Absence Syndrome" (Head Under Water Dance Company, choreography: Elena Marinova) and "AMALGAMATE" (AM:PM Dance Company, choreography: Anton Mladenov).

The duet "Absence Syndrome" explores the themes of communication, human closeness and modern isolation. The two performers, covered in huma, engage in a physical dialogue between the desire for connection and the impossibility of being heard. The white chairs and minimalist scenography create a symbolism of sterility and alienation, while the choreography becomes a poetic commentary on the invisible barriers between people.

The work follows the path of a girl who makes a decision to join a society driven by the desire to be accepted. At first, she is filled with hope, but over time she realizes that in order to be part of this group, she must lose herself. “AMALGAMATE” is a reflection on the balance between belonging and personal identity. How far are we willing to go to feel part of something? And is it worth it if the price is to give up on ourselves?
