Dear friends,
On May 11, 2026, at Bar Singles, we continue bringing artists from the global handpan scene to Sofia – live and up close.
Following the Handpan Around The World fest, this time we welcome Seraphim from The Handpan Gentlemen (UK) – the project of Bulgarian musician Seraphim Zlatev, who has been shaping his sound on the London scene for years alongside Mr. James Hunter Crossley.

On the local stage, Seraphim will be met by our beloved BUNYVERSE, presenting premiere pieces from his upcoming solo project – moving between jazz, classical, fusion, and intertwined ethno motifs, in a vivid and dynamic dialogue between handpan, percussion, and Buny’s rich universe of instruments.

The evening will begin with two distinct voices – each with its own direction, feeling, and space.

Gradually, the music will open into a meeting point – where musical voices become one.

And as it often happens when the handpan begins to speak… the most genuine moments arise beyond the planned – in a shared jam, where the evening unfolds in its own unique way.

What to expect:
– Two solo handpan sets, shaped between Sofia and London
– Premiere performances and musical surprises
– Spontaneous jam and live musical dialogue between the artists
– Space for listening, relaxation, and presence

Seraphim Zlatev is a Bulgarian talent who joins us with rich experience from the London scene – one of the key centers of handpan culture in Europe. With a presence ranging from street performances to club stages, as well as acoustic and digital projects, he is steadily establishing himself as one of the recognizable names in London. He is part of the duo The Handpan Gentlemen, as well as the London Handpan Academy, where he actively contributes to the growth of the local community.

Petar Yordanov – Buny is one of the most beloved Bulgarian percussionists, with a distinctive sound shaped at the intersection of rhythm, melody, and improvisation. He creates musical worlds where the handpan naturally intertwines with percussion and a wide range of instrumental textures. His music flows freely across genres – from jazz and classical to ethno and fusion – while remaining deeply rooted in Bulgarian rhythm and sensibility.
