FSS | SATL | VISAGES | 07.04 @ KONCEPT SPACE

On the 7th of April at Koncept Space we are kicking off the next decade of 'quality over quantity' as we are pleased to present our spring voyage of positive emotions in the company of SATL and VISAGES.

 

Born in Poland, but based in Rotterdam, SATL is one of the leading lights in a new generation of drum & bass producers. Still only in his early twenties, he first started producing over a decade ago, giving his music a refinement and depth well beyond his years. It is not surprising then that his music has been heavily supported by some of the most influential DJs in the scene and has him working closely with leading labels such as Lenzman’s North Quarter and Artifical Intelligence’s Integral Records.

 

Over time, he has managed to build his own distinctive sound, intertwining bright and melancholic motifs together with hypnotic drums and percussion in a magnetic union that sounds as if it comes directly from space. His latest album - Gloom for The North Quarter - is the pinnacle of his experience and an exposition of his diverse style. As a bottomless well, Satl often completes over 10 tracks a month, which end up in the hands of the most proven DJs on the scene. His sets are mainly composed of his own released and unreleased works, which makes them unique and widely sought after by many international promoters and festivals - from London through Hong Kong to Sydney, and very soon in Sofia.

 

VISAGES are the french four-man collective from the fellowship of 1985 Music, a label headed by no other than Alix Perez. Brought together by a decade-long friendship and a shared affinity towards gritty beats and low-frequency oscillations, Valentin, Etienne, Tom and Kévin emerged from the shadows of Toulouse in 2017. Influenced by a wide range of genres like hip-hop, reggae, ambient, and rock, their production is incredibly versatile - from dark minimal, through melting liquid to earth-shattering dubstep. No matter the style, Visages have proven that their name is synonymous with quality, both in drum & bass and beyond.
