Vladigerov Brothers: Silent Cinema and Live Music: CHARLIE CHAPLIN
For the event
Immerse yourself in the magic of 1916–1917 with the Vladigerov Brothers and Stu.
An evening in which silent cinema comes to life through modern jazz and the art of improvisation.
On the screen: three classic short films by the great and unforgettable Charlie Chaplin.
The music for each film will be created in real time — spontaneously, emotionally and inspired by what is happening on the screen.
This project continues a tradition started by Alexander and Konstantin’s grandfather — the patriarch of Bulgarian music Pancho Vladigerov (1899–1978), who accompanied silent cinema in Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century.
On stage:
Alexander Vladigerov — trumpet, flugelhorn
Konstantin Vladigerov — piano, clarinet
Special guest:
Stu Ivanov percussion
A meeting between cinema and music, between past and present.
