Dimi is from the city of Sofia, and as a child he went to Canada, where he completed his education and got acquainted with the stand-up format. He returned to Bulgaria 18 years ago, torn between Western thinking and his Eastern European affiliation. His comedic performances on stage reflect this, intertwining Bulgarian pessimism with American sarcasm. Dimi believes that stand-up jokes are best when they are based on an interesting, previously overlooked truth. He likes to use the stand-up format as a personal outlet as the host of the Open Mic evenings in Sofia. There are performances in kindergartens, parks, KAPANA fest, Creative mornings, 2 TEDx talks, bars and clubs in Sofia, Berlin, Svoge, Burgas, New York and on the Simeon lift. A friend's father even said that "the boy has a smart sense of humor."
