On December 16, the stage of V Djaza Jazz Club will welcome the legendary jazz ensemble “Acoustic Version” in a special, deeply emotional lineup. ✨

 

The story of the project began in 1984, when pianist Antoni Donchev and drummer Hristo Yotsov embarked on a musical journey that quickly took them beyond the borders of Bulgaria. In their early years, Acoustic Version triumphed in Leverkusen, Germany, where they were named “Young Jazz Artists of Europe” for 1986. 🎶

 

The ensemble established itself as one of the most original and recognizable jazz duos from Eastern Europe.

Over the years, Hristo and Antoni have worked with more than seven different bassists, each leaving their mark on the group’s evolution. This unplanned yet consciously embraced openness to new voices and ideas has kept Acoustic Version vibrant and continuously evolving for four decades.

 

On December 16, 2025, Antoni Donchev and Hristo Yotsov return to the audience of V Djaza Jazz Club, joined by Petar Slavov – one of the most successful Bulgarian jazz musicians on the world stage.

 

His name has been part of the Acoustic Version story since the 1990s, before he continued his studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and built an impressive career in the United States. 🇺🇸
