The duo Hamraaz, will turn into a trio for this special night. They will play music inspired by traditional Modal/Makam/Maqam music. They will invoke us in some unique compositions blended from the beauty of modality, the Dynamic character of Duduk and Flute, rich rhythms coming from strokes of Tanbour and Tar, and the charm of Oud. Common passions brought them to dive deeper into the charm of modal music. The aim is to reveal their language by combining these instruments as one.
Khorshid Dadbeh
Khorshid Dadbeh is an Iranian Tar, Tanbour, and Setar player born in 1995. She grew up in an artistic family and started her musical journey playing Setar with her father and after went to study at the Conservatory of Tehran. She studied Tanbour with Sohrab Pournazeri and Tar with Houshang Zarif, Katrin Kimiai, and Ali Ghamsari.
She stepped into professional activities when she was only sixteen years old performing with the Shams Ensemble. During all these years she has had the privilege of joining artists and musicians in their tours, both internationally and within Iran.
Khorshid completed her musical studies with a master’s degree at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
She established a musical collective “Jansouz“ which is named after the artistic name of her grandfather; a renowned maestro in the field of singing and the cultural history of Iranian music. Since 2012, under the name of Jansouz, she has been working on different projects to present her artistic visions.
She is currently performing music compositions and improvisations from Iran and collaborating with international musicians.

Lucie Lelaurain
Mixing her taste for contemporary music and traditional modal music, the multi-instrumentalist Lucie Lelaurain unveils cinematic and modern music weaving links between traditional tunes of yesterday and compositions of today.
Originally playing on a classical Flute, she specializes in Middle Eastern music by learning the Duduk, but also by researching the adaptation of sound and ornament on her original instrument which normally expresses itself in so-called tonal and classical music. Her musical identity is forged by her education in French traditional music, and by her many travels.
Born in France in 1994, she discovered very early a passion for traditional music and dance. After studying at the Music Conservatory in Toulouse, she traveled to Turkey to be trained in the modal music of the Middle East.
She worked there with many masters and after two years of learning, she decided to return to Europe and joined the Codarts University of the Arts in Turkish music. Lucie is now working on three main projects. One of those is Hamraaz, a duo of Iranian music, mixing composition, and traditional music.
She is working on her own composition with the project "Rosann" and an album is planned for 2024.

Eirini Zogali
Eirini was born in 1997 in Corinth, Greece. Her relationship with music started at the age of 7 with classical guitar. This first contact led her to audition for the music school of her hometown, from which she graduated in 2015 with a new instrument in hand, the bouzouki.
The bouzouki was the music bridge that helped her to approach traditional Greek music, especially Rebetiko. In 2016 she continued her studies in music in Thessaloniki, where she graduated with a specialization in the three-string bouzouki.
Moving to Thessaloniki was crucial for her music career because of the variety of genres that co-exist in the city. During her studies there, she came across the Oud, an instrument that quickly became of great significance to her.

*Veli Chaushev (Bulgaria) - Saz
The most renowned tambura player from Bulgaria Veli Chaushev is coming to Kondolovo (Bulgaria) on the 6th of September to perform for the first time on stage on Saz - an instrument he learned from his grandfather.
Born in a small community of the not well-known Alevis (Bulgarian: Алиани, Алевити) in Bulgaria, Veli Chaushev's repertoire will include some sacred songs that date hundreds of years in the past. Songs that are part of the religious ceremonies in the very closed Alevi community. Similar to the Kurdish Tanbour, according to Alevism, the Saz is considered a sacred musical instrument.
Veli Chaushev is a musician, composer, and teacher who preserves and popularizes Bulgarian folklore. He was born in 1982 in Kotel. He studied at the Secondary School of Music in his hometown and later continued his education at "Prof. Assen Diamandiev Art Academy" in Plovdiv. He graduated with two majors - "Instrumental Art" (2004) and "Composition" (2008) in the class of Prof. Dimitar Tapkov. He works as a teacher of chamber music and tambura, and an accompanist in folk singing at the "National Music School Liubomir Pipkov" in Sofia. He is the author of works for symphony and chamber orchestras, songs, and pieces for folk orchestras. Veli Chaushev is a well-known multi-instrumentalist playing Tambura, Guitar, Piano, Bouzouki, Saz, Mandolin, Double Bass, Oud, Goblet drum, Davul, etc.

Lovers In The Dark blends influences like Post-punk, Rave, Synth-wave, EBM, Electro, Techstep, Avant Pop, Italo, R&B-meets-rave, droning guitars, and some intoxicating vocals.

!!! We encourage you to spend the night in the village and enjoy the pleasant surprises that it might bring. Unfortunately, there is no accommodation available in the village, but you are welcome to put your own camping tent in the designated areas. Nearby there will be tap water and toilets available for you. The tap water is not good for drinking! You should bring your own food and drinking water. There is no supermarket in the village. Remember that we are in the forest and put yourself in some comfortable shoes. Before the concert, our friends from "Последният патрон" (see map below) will offer us grill, chips, beers and beverages.
If you prefer to rest after the concert, you might find proper accommodation in Balgari (7км), Gramatikovo (9км), Visitsa (9km), Kosti (14км) and Tsarevo (23km). Please, book your accommodation in advance.
There won't be an organized transfer. There is no public transport to the village. You can reach by car or hitchhiking.
