Hex Girlfriend at Club Pave with Ognebesgur (post-wrong weekend)

Hex Girlfriend is the dynamic rave-rock two-piece comprised of James Knott and Noah Yorke. Formed in the wake of their time at Goldsmiths University in 2020, the project sprang from late-night laptop sessions and a shared appetite for sonic danger and unfiltered energy. 

 

Eschewing the constraints of genre, Hex Girlfriend fuse the ecstasy of rave culture with the visceral intensity of heavy rock in a non-severe and yet still meaningful manner, winding electronic wizardry, theatrical live elements and industrial heaviness tightly together.

 

Their 2024 singles “Café Culture” and “Itch” marked a bold statement of intent: confronting the pressures of hustle culture and independent-artist commodification with cathartic noise and exhilarating energy. In 2025 the duo signed to the imprint Soil To The Sun (an arm of Relentless Records) and unleashed “Trash TV” — a scathing take on digital culture and algorithmic attention economics. 

 

On November 29th, Hex Girlfriend brings new material including tracks from the "No Golf Cart Parking" EP and just released «As «Long As You’re Moving" EP.

On stage, Hex Girlfriend channel the intensity of youth rebellion: two figures commanding bruising riffs and club-ready beats, merging the mosh pit and the dancefloor into one. Their live performances thrive on physicality, theatricality and the thrill of the unexpected.

 

Supporting them is the all-mystical noise ensemble Ognebesgur, digging with processed voices and stuttering drums. A persisting melancholy and angelic rumble, their compositions and live performances are a cosmic ritual - an immersive meditation to be witnessed. Composed of members from projects like TDK, Attaxic and the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, their sound is constantly evolving into the post-digital landscape and ether.
